In A Nut Shell
He’s standing in the parking lot sporting a brightly colored aloha shirt. Says he really enjoys my column but when it comes to food, he’s pretty set in his ways. He asks, “since I’m not likely to make too many changes, what’s the one food that will give me the most bang for my buck? Can you give it to me in a nut shell?” I’m smiling knowing that’s exactly where it comes from-a nutshell. An almond shell to be exact. Almonds are not only a super food-they are one of the most powerful foods available.
Drink To Your Health
The age old question — “what shall I have to drink?” Coffee, soda, a frozen chocolate mocha, tea, milk, juice? With every beverage you bring to your lips, you make a choice. It sounds like this in your head: hmmmm, if I make it a frozen chocolate mocha, I’ll have to burn those 500+ calories, and have maxed out my carbs for the day (almost 90). If I have a coke, I’ll spike my insulin and worry about the benzene in my system. Milk-no thanks, I’ll be blowing my nose all day.
Supersized Problem
