Makes about 3 cups
Just as Sleeping Beauty was awakened with a whiff of rosemary water, this
herbal lemonade will awaken your senses as well.
- 1 ½ c. cold filtered ph balanced water
- 1 ½ c. agave nectar
- 1 ½ c. lemon juice (meyer lemons are best)
- Finely grated rind of one lemon
- 3 sprigs of rosemary
- ice cubes
- cold mineral water, sparkling or flat
Combine the water and agave nectar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over high
heat and cook for about three minutes. Remove from heat and add the lemon
juice, rind and rosemary. Refridgerate for 2 hours and strain into a storage
container.
To prepare one serving; drop crushed ice into a glass. Fill about half full with
lemon syrup. Top off with flat or sparkling mineral water, garnish with a fresh
strawberry or sprig of mint, stir and drink.
